Flags of The Mexican-American War now available from Battle Flag

This post must start with a huge thank you to Jonathan M. for recommending Battle Flag to GJM to create a range of flags to compliment GJM’s superb new Gringo 40s miniatures.

Having just got of the telephone with Ged at GJM, I am pleased to announce that a new range of Mexican American War flags from Battle Flag will be released in 40mm to compliment GJM,s excellent  new range of 40mm Mex-Am War miniatures.

Battle Flag will support the range with a full range of beautiful Regimental and National Colours for the U.S. and Mexican forces.

The first release will cover the U.S Regular Infantry and Volunteer Regiments with the Mexican forces to follow shortly.

Using the same superlative artwork Battle Flag have also released the range in both 15mm & 28mm (The Battle Flag range are also now the official range of Mexican-American flags for First Corps excellent range of 28mm wargame figures).

Available now on our now familiar style of Collectors sheet the U.S. Regular Infantry plate is given added impact with a contemporary picture of General Winfield Scott and a facsimile of his signature.

Battle Flag Release Tott's Thirty Years War Swedish Cavalry Regiment in 28mm Wargame Scale

wwI have always liked the morbid imagery of the standards of the Tott Regiment. Each flag with a skull sitting on a grassy knoll set on a black field, with the Company identification detailed by whatever was springing forth from the eye sockets, very dark and dramatic.

I am rather pleased with the artwork on these wargame flags and having spent longer painting the skulls than I intended  I thought them worthy of there own separate announcement.
You can view the rest of this weeks Thirty Years War  releases HERE.

As always the model flags are available in 25/28mm wargame scale and will be available on a 15mm multi sheet of 10 flags when I finish off the other Swedish Cavalry standards.

Remember the actual flags are created and printed at a much higher resolution than is displayed on the website.

New 25mm English Civil War Flags from Battle Flag. The Irish in the Service of the King

I got to see some of the excellent English Civil War Irish figures from Warlord Games Pike & Shotte range of miniatures the other week and, being from the fair isle of Erin myself, was immediately inspired to create a series of wargame flags for my ancestral forefathers who fought for King and Country in Englands Civil War.

Bring on the Irish Charge!

New 25mm English Civil War Royalist Flag Sets

The whole idea behind Battle Flag is not only to offer the wargamer and model soldier collector superlative scale war flags and standards but to offer the modeler greater choice and variety.

The very latest sets in the English Civil War Royalist series provide the model soldier collector and war gamer with all six company flags for Sir Allen Apsley's Regiment of Foote and Sir Edward Stradling's Regiment of Foote.

As with all the 25mm flags from Battle Flag these sets are split into sheets of two flags creating greater value and choice for the wargamer and collector.
