New 25mm English Civil War Royalist Flag Sets

The whole idea behind Battle Flag is not only to offer the wargamer and model soldier collector superlative scale war flags and standards but to offer the modeler greater choice and variety.

The very latest sets in the English Civil War Royalist series provide the model soldier collector and war gamer with all six company flags for Sir Allen Apsley's Regiment of Foote and Sir Edward Stradling's Regiment of Foote.

As with all the 25mm flags from Battle Flag these sets are split into sheets of two flags creating greater value and choice for the wargamer and collector.

Battle Flag Releases Thirty Years War Flags in 15mm!

Due to numerous requests I have decided to release the Battle Flag range in 15mm. The First in the series are from the Thirty Years War period and represent the Imperialist Regiments of Pappenheim.

Using the same high quality materials and highly detailed images Battle Flag now offers the same superlative detail in 15mm as in its larger 25mm ranges.

I decided to place no less than 12 flags on each sheet and at only £5.25 per sheet. This offers the 15 mm war gamer and model soldier collector excellent value for money (less than 44 pence per flag).

You can currently purchase these directly and payments can be made via PayPal at no extra cost and this will ensure that your order will ship within 24 hrs.

Please feel free to contact me on lowlesr@hotmail.co.uk should you have any questions.
Cheers. Richard.

Battle Flag Releases First 25 mm Flags In Thirty Years War Range

Having had a number of requests to create 25mm flags of the Thirty Years War period, I decided to turn my attention to the Bayern and Liga Regiments of Gottfried Heinrich Graf zu Pappenheim.

I intend to create a large number of flags in this particular range so do keep dropping back to the blog and checking for more updates and pics.

The range of Thirty Years War flags from Battle Flag will as always be historically accurate, and offer war gamers and model soldier collectors the very best quality and selection in 25mm Regimental flags and Standards.

War Game Battle Flag Tutorial

I want to ensure that my customers get the most from their purchase and are able to create beautiful and realistic flags for their miniatures. To that end I have created this tutorial that should allow anyone with basic skills and a few simple tools to create a show piece flag or flags for their model army.
Only a good pair of scissors, a couple of pieces of clean paper, model flag staff, glue stick and of course your chosen Battle Flag are required. The glue stick is very important as this form of adhesive has proven itself to be by far the most effective for assembling flags from the Battle Flag range.
Having cleared a suitable working area the first task is to simply cut your chosen Battle Flag from the carrier sheet. This can be done quite roughly and you should ensure that there is a fair amount of spare border around the flag. Do not try and cut the flag accurately from the sheet.
Once the flag has been removed now is the time to cut it accurately. Take your time and ensure that your cuts are straight. Some might want to use a ruler and craft knife for this, if you do please be careful, personally I prefer scissors.
Once the flag has been cut out, fold the flag in half at the midpoint. All Battle Flag’s have a central portion that is included specifically to wrap around the shaft.
The fold must be accurate and I find that it is best to first fold it lightly and then to place between the two pieces of paper and crease it heavily with my finger tip. The paper will ensure that the flag remains clean of grease etc.
Once properly folded and creased open your Battle Flag again and place it face down on clean paper. Then holding the flag firmly apply a good amount of glue stick to the rear of the flag. The whole of the back should be covered not just half or part and again this is important to ensure a good finish.
Place the flag pole into the crease and fold the flag over pressing the flag gently into place into place.
Then having checked the alignment for a final time place the flag on the table between the clean paper and press firmly.
Once flattened satisfactorily you can now add a few flowing curves. This can be done freehand or with the aid of a paintbrush handle or similar. Take your time as you do not want to add creases just gentle curves.
When the glue is set you will have quite a rigid structure and you can now attach the finished standard to the figure.

Battle Flag: The Finest 25mm Wargame Flags and Standards Available Now!

Painting a war game army is a time consuming process that requires much dedication and patience. It takes many hours and even days of precise and delicate work to create each regiment.
The singular most important figure or figures in the regiment from an aesthetic perspective are of course the standard bearers. As in real life these are the rallying point for each regiment and the most obvious figure amongst the ranks of similarly painted figures.
Frustrated with the quality of the flags generally been offered to wargamers and collectors of military miniatures I decided to create my own.
The flags would have to be historically accurate, look as if they were in the fly rippled by a breeze when attached to the flag pole of the miniature, and printed with archival quality inks on high quality papers to ensure lasting quality.
The feedback from the local gaming community has been excellent and having had a number of requests from other gamers I decided to launch the range to the gaming community as a whole.
Each A5 sheet contains two high quality 25mm flags/standards printed in full color. Included on the sheet are historically accurate uniform details to assist collector in the painting of their miniatures.
By placing two flags on each sheet the military miniature collector or war gamer does not have to purchase a sheet of 10 or 20 a number of which may be of no use to him.
The whole idea behind Battle Flag is to offer the war gamer/collector of military miniatures superlative miniature flags, with greater choice and value for money than has been previously available.

Designed and printed at 5760x1440 dpi Battle Flag will be literally, “Raising the Standard” for all collectors of fine military miniatures.
